DREAM TEAM: GW 3
Updated: Aug 25, 2022
In this section we build a team for the week with £100 million. Here is this weeks' team of players we think can rake in the points this weekend. There's a few fixtures that really stand out as one sided so we have targeted these players primarily. Potential for a big points haul again this week so fingers crossed.

Formation 3-4-3 Team Value: £99.7
Forwards
Jesus ARS £8.1
Looking good after last weeks fine performance against Leicester at the Emirates, in which Jesus scored 2 and assisted 2 and brought in a whopping 19 point haul. He seems to be flourishing as Arsenal's main man up front and faces a newly promoted Bournemouth team this weekend, albeit away from home. He is great value at his current price point (expect it to rise again soon) and is our first pick for this current Dream Team.
Toney BRE £7.1
Ivan Toney bossed the Manchester United defense in last weeks 4-0 rout, delivering 2 assists and 1 bonus point along the way. Brentford have a great run of games coming up and we are backing Toney to continue his form against the, mostly Championship level, defenders playing for Fulham on Saturday.
Kane TOT £11.4
It was Harry Kane to the rescue against Chelsea in the last game, well him and Anthony Taylor. He was supremely nullified by a dogged Chelsea team for pretty much the whole game. He had 2 real chances: when he found himself unmarked for his last minute goal and another when he managed to burst free from their shackles only to drag the shot wide. He will surely give the Wolves defense some problems at White Hart Lane this week and is slightly cheaper than Haarland now, who is away at Newcastle. Kane edges into our team over Haarland as Erling has yet to play the full 90 minutes, which Kane almost certainly will, and is away from home against a rejuvenated Newcastle.
Midfielders
Salah LIV £13.0
We see no reason to leave out the best player in the game just yet, despite how Liverpool looked a long way from their usually standards against a well drilled Palace team but looked the better team after going down to ten men following Nunes' sending off. They will be keen to bounce back from that disappointing draw with a win and what better team to be playing than Manchester United right now, they are an absolute mess. Salah could have a field day there on Monday.
Mount CHE £8.0
Another team looking to bounce back after a disappointing draw is Mason Mount. Chelsea were hard done by in the last game against Tottenham. Mason Mount is yet to open his account this season but we think he can do very well against a new look Leeds, who have conceded in each of their games. Mount chipped in last season with 11 goals and 11 assists so we know he has the potential to get some points on the board in games.
Kulusevski TOT £8.1
Like Son and, for the most part, Kane, Dejan Kulusevski was kept pretty quiet in last week's London derby by a resolute Chelsea team. Kulusevski has been a fantastic player since his arrival to Tottenham in the January transfer window, and few players come near his points to games ratio. He has played a total of 1434 Premier League minutes and racked up 114 pts so far, which equates to just about 7pts per game - phenomenal numbers. Tottenham have a good run of games coming up and we think Kulu is a must have whose price will soon rise. He will have lots of chances to accumulate points in the opening game of this weekend's fixtures at home against Wolves.
Maddison LEI £8.0
James Maddison was one of the standout midfielders last season and has looked good for Leicester this season with a goal and assist in the first 2 games. He's good value at his price point, takes free kicks and Leicester have a pretty good run of games coming up so he has a good opportunity to rack up some decent point hauls. We think he can do well against Southampton this weekend.
Defenders
Cresswell WHU £5.0
One of the standout attacking defenders in the game and we think he will do well against Brighton this weekend. He is on corners and free kicks and continually gets himself into forward positions. At 3.4% ownership at time of writing he is a good differential to separate your team from the rest of the pack as he has the potential to score big points.
Saliba ARS £4.5
Saliba has slotted seamlessly into the Arsenal first team this season and has contributed to to some fine defensive displays, bar an unlucky own goal. He is well priced for a defender at only £4.5 and we think he will maintain his good form against Bournemouth this weekend. Arsenal have a nice selection of easier fixtures coming up and we would expect his price to rise as a result of this.
Forfana LEI £4.5
There is currently a lot of talk about Welsey Forfana moving to Chelsea before the window is up, if this happens then his price is a bargain so it is worth getting him in now as it will surely rise as a result of this move. In the meantime he is a solid defender with a good chance of keeping a clean sheet this weekend at home against an up and down Southampton team
.
Goalkeeper
Ederson MCI £5.5
Finally we have gone with Ederson in goal this weekend. He is a premium 'Keeper with a fine selection of fixtures coming up. Manchester City are so good in defense and we reckon another clean sheet will be on the cards for him this weekend as he's up against Newcastle.
Subs
1. Patterson EVE £4.0
A great value and active Wing Back, Nathan Patterson has the potential for some strong attacking returns, if only he had a decent striker to assist. Still a great value bench option with potential for a clean sheet. He will be our first sub going into this weekend with a home fixture against a newly promoted Forest team.
2. Williams NFO £4.0
This guy was immense last week against West Ham popping up all over the pitch with blocks and great runs into attacking positions. Lovely value for an active wing back and a great price for a sub.
3. Andreas FUL £4.5
A slight doubt for this game, but we are prepared to take a gamble with our last sub. Great price for an attacking midfielder for a Fulham team yet to lose on their return to the Premier League.
GK. Ward LEI £4.0
The go to back up 'keeper who is now the no.1 for Leicester City. Bargain.
