Dream Team: GW 12

It's another refreshing week as a result of the postponed match between Arsenal and Manchester City. We have lots of positions to fill in their absence and a large risk of rotation with the teams that do play. We built a team for the week with £100 million, complete with subs that may well be needed to make up for any rotation. Here is a team of players we think can do well in this upcoming week.........

Formation 3-4-3 Team Value: £100.0

Forwards

Mitrovic FUL £6.7 (VC)

After some time out injured Mitrovic is back and already scoring again - converting a penalty in the last game. The time he spent out injured has also caused him to drop £0.2 in value. He's maintaining his Championship form from last season in which he smashed all the records by scoring 43 goals in 46 games. Fulham have a great run of games on the horizon so hopefully we be seeing a lot of him in our team of the week as he is such a good price. Odds on to get something against an underperforming Aston Villa team at Craven Cottage this week.

Solanke BOU £5.8

This young lad is really coming in to his own in recent weeks and proving himself to be Premier League quality striker. Not only is his price point appealing but also his ownership, which stands at only 3.9% at the time of writing. With 1 goal and 3 assists in his last 2 games Solanke is also displaying some great form that we hope he can carry into Bournemouth's home game against a free falling Southampton this week.

Kane TOT £11.4

It's hard to believe that with all the goals he has scored, that Harry's current streak of scoring 5 games in a row is a Premier League record for him. He has a tricky fixture away to Man U at Old Trafford this week, but we are backing FPL's 2nd highest scorer this season to come good again. We are not confident enough to make him Captain, but the Spurs striker certainly finds his way into our Dream Team this week.

Midfielders

Zaha CRY £7.5

Wilfred Zaha has been underperforming of late, but he is due a haul and Crystal Palace find themselves up against a low scoring Wolves team at home this week. Zaha was withdrawn after 76 minutes in the last game which strengthens the chance that he avoids rotation and has a series of easier fixtures coming up so is worth getting into any team. Everything Palace does usually goes through Zaha, including free kicks and penalties, so we think Wilfred is a good bet this week.

Son TOT £11.8

Son has been creeping back into the player we all know and love in recent weeks. With Richarlison out injured Tottenham will be relying on Kane and Son to win them this tricky fixture at Old Trafford. Conte will be playing to their strengths and there will be balls played to Son on the counter whenever possible. Man U are not what they used to be, although they have been tougher to beat under Ten Hag. Recent results have not been amazing and they will be keen to get a result in front of their fans, which means they should push forward more. This is a game for Son to shine in.

Salah LIV £12.7 (C)

Back in everyone's good books after a mid week hat trick in the Champions League game and then scores the only goal against Man City on the weekend. Salah and Liverpool face West Ham at Anfield in this week's game. With Jota joining Diaz on the injury list you have to think Salah is going to start. We will back him with the Captain's armband to continue his run of form against the Hammers.

Andreas FUL £4.6

Andreas Pereira has been looking sharp these last few games. He's scored 1, claimed an assist and has been lively. He is also on corners, where he got his assist, and fee kicks. Don't let his price deceive as he has the potential to get attacking returns at home against an Aston Villa side that has kept only 2 clean sheets this season.

Defenders

Alexander - Arnold LIV £7.2

Back prematurely from an ankle injury and made a brief substitute appearance against City on the weekend, Trent is our first defender picked for this week's Dream Team. We hope he is fit enough to start and maybe Robertson would be a better pick on that front, however we have the money and Trent does have the potential for huge points on his day. One of the standout attacking defenders in past seasons game but hasn't performed quite as highly so far this season. The win over Manchester City over the weekend would have galvanized Liverpool to continue their winning ways into the mid week fixture against West Ham. Let's hope Alexander-Arnold starts and can get in on the action against a West Ham team with a few injuries at the back.

Trippier NEW £5.7

Kieren Tripper has been leading Newcastle to some great results this season. As well as being strong in defence for a team that has 5 clean sheets this season, he also takes free kicks and scored a beauty against Man City. Surely he will bank some points this week against a low scoring Everton team in front of the home fans at St James' Park.

Dunk BHA £4.6

Finally a Brighton player makes our Dream Team. Brighton have a home fixture against a low scoring and bottom of the table Notts Forest team. They have had a strong defence lead by Dunk all season and we are backing them and him to lock down a clean sheet. Dunk is a danger from set pieces too and we fondly remember his 20/21 season when he returned 5 goals!

.

Goalkeeper

Guaita CRY £4.5

Vincent Guaita picked up 11pts in his last game and will hopefully be between the sticks when Crystal Palace welcome a low scoring Wolverhampton Wanderers this week. He's great value, with a strong run of fixtures and also a strong differential with his ownership just 3.1% at the time of writing.

Subs

1. Murphy NEW £4.3

Great price for a forward that should start for Newcastle who have several key forward players out injured right now. He has 1 goal already this season. Our first sub.

2. Guehi CRY £4.3

Just like Guaita he's great value, with a strong run of fixtures and also a strong differential with his ownership just 3.5% at the time of writing. Unlike Guaita he is also a danger from set pieces. Our 2nd sub this week.

3. Smith BOU £4.4

If he plays, he plays. Good solid full back with the chance of returns at both ends of the pitch if Bournemouth do well this week. Our 3rd choice sub.

GK. Neto BOU £4.5

Has been great in goal for Bournemouth since his debut this season with 2 clean sheets in his 6 Premiership games. They are unbeaten since the 9-0 loss to Liverpool and he is a good bet in goal at home against a goal shy Southampton team.
